PROMPTNESS:
Because dance requires great concentration and focus, it is difficult for both the individual and the group when a student comes in late. We understand that being late is sometimes unavoidable, but it needs to be minimized. It is important to remember to allow time to change clothes and use the bathroom before class begins. Dressing rooms are provided. The lobby can’t be used as a changing room. It is not safe to dance without warming up; therefore, any dancer arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to watch class.
ATTIRE:
All students must wear their specific dance attire to their various courses. Please refer to our website for their various attire requirements. At no time may a student wear jeans to class. Proper dance attire and shoes are MANDATORY for safety and the overall well being of the student’s dance education. An instructor reserves the right to dismiss a student from class after one warning. Please respect our policy, it is to benefit the students and allow them to become the dancer they desire to be. All Jazz pants should be ankle length, ballet skirts, and shorts above the knee. We do not recommend that you share dance shoes, it is not good for sanitary reasons and does not ensure proper fit of dance shoes.
HAIR: All students are required to wear their hair neatly tied up in a bun. For younger children, please tie your hair neatly in a ponytail.
RECEPTION AREA: Our school recommends that parents and siblings DO NOT linger in the reception area once you drop your child for class, it makes it very noisy and disruptive for your child attending class as well as our staff trying to conduct business at this area.
MOBILE PHONES CALLS:
Please make and accept your phone calls outside the school and keep our reception area private and quiet.
RECITAL: The recital will be held at the end of each regular season. Dates of this event will be advertised at a later date and will be posted before January 1st.
